System
Overview
The High Speed A/D Board consists of:
· Transformer coupled 50 Ohm inputs
· 1.5GS/S Dual Channel A/D Converter.
· On-board low-noise PLL clock generator, synchronizable
to external clock source.
· LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling) interface to
the Main DSP and FPGA Processing Board.
· Power supplies for on-board circuitry.
Performance
· 800mVp-p input level
· 7.0 bits ENOB at 1GS/S input rate
· 44 dB S/N Ratio at 1GS/S input rate
Project Scope
Bolton Engineering took an existing design and made
significant electronic and layout enhancements,
simulated circuit board critical tracks using Hyperlynx,
fabricated and debugged the hardware, and delivered 20
working prototypes. |
